If you currently have version 4.x on your system (click on blue Sophos icon in the upper right of the menu bar near the time and Airport icon and choose "About Sophos") this must be removed prior to installing the new product.
To Remove Version 4.x you must download Remove-older-4.9-Sophos-Antiv-Virus.pkg.zip and then double-click on the icon entitled "Double-click-to-Remove-older-4.9-Sophos-Anti-Virus.pkg.zip" and follow the prompts. Restart your system upon completion.
To Remove Version 7.x you must download Remove-Sophos-Anti-Virus.dmg and then double-click on the icon entitled "Double-click-to-Remove-Sophos-Anti-Virus.pkg.zip" and follow the prompts. Restart your system upon completion.
